RMG is a family-run roofing, construction and renewable energy contractor based in Wokingham, Berkshire, working across London and the South East. Founded by Daryl Cooke in 2012 and known until recently as Roofing Matters Group, the business combines more than 25 years of hands-on roofing experience with formal, certified management systems and a culture of standing behind the work long after handover.

Daryl Cooke, Managing Director
A roofer by trade with over 25 years on site, NVQ-qualified in pitched roofing and still closely involved in surveys, specifications and quality on every project. Daryl leads the roofing and construction divisions and the relationships with main contractors, schools and estates teams.
Nikki Cooke, Finance & Compliance Director
Nikki leads finance, compliance and the renewable energy division, including the ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 management systems and RMG’s accreditation and manufacturer relationships.
Isabella Cooke, Apprentice Construction Technician
The next generation of the business, developing her career in construction while supporting project delivery and site documentation.

Constructionline Gold, CHAS and SafeContractor accreditation, NFRC and NFRC Competent Person Scheme membership, Safe2Torch registration and enhanced DBS-checked team members for schools and sensitive sites.
Manufacturer-Backed Work
Sika Certified Roofing Contractor, Bauder and Polyroof approved contractor, IKO partner and Tesla Powerwall certified installer, so specifications and warranties are agreed with the manufacturer, not improvised on site.
Accountable After Handover
Photographic records, O&M information, warranties and written aftercare and maintenance guidance are issued at completion, and the same team remains the point of contact afterwards.
Training and Continuous Development
RMG invests in regular manufacturer and industry training so that systems are installed exactly as the manufacturer intends. Directors and installers train directly with the manufacturers whose systems we install, and the business keeps pace with new products, regulations and installation methods rather than relying on habit.
Investing in the Next Generation
Daryl and Nikki work with schools and colleges, including young people with special educational needs, to show the opportunities available in roofing, construction and renewable energy. The commitment is personal: Daryl was diagnosed with ADHD and severe dyslexia as a child and built the business regardless. RMG hosts career days, offers work experience placements and employs apprentices, including within the family.
